Lavender crop

The first lavenders flower in late October through to early December and we begin to pick them late December/early January. The flowers are then hung in bunches to dry. There is a wonderful fragrance in the air with butterflies and bees busy on the flowers. We have many different varieties of lavender in the garden, which continue flowering over the summer months.
